intuition. Release, let go, and embrace and integrate
a new way of being in your body and moving from within.

A Yin and Restorative Yoga Workshop
Yin Yoga is a style of Yoga that uses deeply held poses
for up to five minutes to stretch, not only the muscles
, but to get to the myofascial connective tissue that
surrounds all the muscles in the whole body. Myo means
muscle and fascia is the fibrous bands of connective tissue
around the muscles. By stretching and freeing the fascia,
tension on bones, muscles, joints and nerves is relieved.
This helps release deeply held tension and allows areas
of trauma or injury to gently heal by bringing circulation
and prana (life force/energy) into these deeply protected
areas.
We will warm up gently so the body is prepared to deeply
stretch and release. Then in the second half of the workshop
we will go into deep restorative poses and allow the body
to rejuvenate, renew, and deeply relax.
In this workshop we will address the common areas that
affect most people: the neck and shoulders and the pelvis
and low back areas.
